| dc.description.abstract | Bakalářská práce se zabývá způsobem, jakým je prezentován sociální pracovník v českém a zahraničním filmu. V teoretické části jsou vymezeny faktory ovlivňující vnímaní veřejnosti a to zejména postoje, stereotypy a předsudky. Dále popisuje pojem sociální práce, jaké jsou předpoklady pro výkon povolání sociálního pracovníka, s ním spojené mýty o roli sociálního pracovníka, ale i jaký je vztah sociálního pracovníka ke klientovi.
Práce nastiňuje pohled na sociální práci skrze masová média. Lidé často podléhají vlivu médií, která ale mohou předkládat zkreslený obraz skutečnosti, co se týče sociální sféry. Dokážou své okolí nenásilně přimět ke změně chování a tím ovlivnit uspořádání společnosti.
V jedné z kapitol je blíže představen sociální pracovník, především jeho kompetence. Samotný sociální pracovník napomáhá prezentaci sociální práce a zaujímá v ní různé role. Se sociální prací souvisí stereotypy, které jsou běžnou součástí našeho života a jsou zdrojem utváření předsudků.
Cílem práce je popsat, jakým způsobem je prezentován sociální pracovník v českém a zahraničním filmu. Jinak řečeno, jak ukazují média sociálního pracovníka a jaká pozitiva a negativa u něj převládají. Prostřednictvím kvalitativní výzkumné strategie byla provedena metoda obsahové analýzy, v rámci níž byla použita diskurzivní analýza.
Pro splnění práce byla stanovena jedna hlavní výzkumná otázka:
VO: Jak se liší stereo-typizace sociálního pracovníka v českém a zahraničním filmu?
Výzkumný soubor představuje filmy, kde se objevuje sociální pracovník. Pro práci byly kvůli možnostem srovnání použity jak české, tak zahraniční filmy. Pro tento výzkum se konkrétně jednalo o použití dvou českých filmů, a dvou zahraničních. Získaná data byla zpracována pomocí obsahové analýzy a vyhodnocena diskurzivní analýzou.
Výsledky výzkumu této bakalářské práce mohou být v praxi přínosem jako zdroj informací pro širokou veřejnost, aby byla oprostěna od předsudků a stereotypů a nedávala pouze na první dojem a posudek médií. Tato práce může být inspirací pro další studenty sociální práce a pozornost může vzbudit i u samotných sociálních pracovníků.
Jelikož je sociální oblast ovlivňována okolím spíše negativně a lidé sociálním pracovníkům nevěří, navrhovala bych pro zredukování stereo-typizace zorganizování veřejných přednášek, kde by byla veřejnost obeznámena s povoláním sociálního pracovníka, jeho kompetencemi, pravomocemi a náplní práce.
K výsledkům výzkumu bych zmínila, že ve sledovaných českých filmech Kolja a Pohádky pro Emu, působí sociální pracovník spíše dojmem chladným, odtažitým až záporným. V obou případech nastává situace, kdy se rodič snaží o získání dítěte do péče, ale sociální pracovník tomu nevěnuje pozornost, a spíše ho od toho odrazuje a snaží se klientovi namluvit, že dítě by se mělo lépe v některém z typů ústavů sociální péče.
U zahraničního filmu Hlavu vzhůru byl spatřen rozdíl v obraze sociálního pracovníka, působícího zde a nazývaného spíše jako vychovatel. Jeho přístup je oproti českým filmům velmi odlišný, vychovatel se snaží klientovi urputně pomoci z jeho nepříznivé sociální situace. Ve druhém zahraničním filmu - Precious - se sociální pracovník chová spíše zdrženlivě, jeho postoj je neutrální. Snaha pomoci klientovi není v tomto případě tak výrazná a důsledná. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | The bachelor thesis deals with the way how a social worker is presented in Czech and foreign film. The theoretical part defines factors influencing public perception, especially attitudes, stereotypes and prejudices. It also describes the concept of social work, what presuppositions are needed for performing the profession of a social worker, associated myths about the role of a social worker, but also what the social worker's relation to the client is.
The work outlines the view of social work through mass media. People like media very much, and there a distorted picture of the social sphere can also be shown. They are able to force their surroundings to change behaviour and thus affect the organization of society.
In one of the chapters, there a social worker is introduced, especially his/her competence. The social worker him/herself helps the presentation of social work and has different roles in it. Social work is related to stereotypes that are a common part of our lives and are a source of prejudices.
The aim of the thesis is to describe how a social worker is presented in Czech and foreign film. In other words, how media show the social worker and what positives and negatives are their strongest ones. Through a qualitative research strategy, a method of content analysis was performed, in which a discourse analysis was used.
To accomplish the thesis, one main research question has been identified:
VO: How do social worker stereotypes differ in Czech and foreign films?
The research set consists of films featuring a social worker. Both Czech and foreign films were used for the comparison. This research involved the use of two Czech films, as well as two foreign films. The obtained data were processed by content analysis and evaluated by a discourse analysis
The results of this bachelor thesis can be a benefit in practice, as a source of information for the general public, so as to avoid the prejudices and stereotypes and not only to follow the first impression and opinion of the media. This thesis may be an inspiration for other students of social work, and the social workers themselves can be interested in it.
As the social area is influenced by the environment rather negatively and the people do not believe the social workers, I would propose to organize public lectures to reduce stereotyping, where the public would get familiar with the profession of a social worker, his/her competencies, powers and job.
I would mention the results of the research. Concerning Czech films "Kolja (Kolya)" and the "Pohádky pro Emu (Fairytales for Ema)", the social worker has a rather cold, odd or negative impression. In both cases, the parent tries to get a child into his/her care, but the social worker does not pay much attention to it, and rather discourages them and tries to persuade the client that the child would feel better in some type of social care institution .
For the foreign film "Hlavu vzhůru (Head up) ", there a difference was found. The social worker was acting and and called in the film an educator. His approach is very different this time compared to Czech films, where the educator tries to help the client to help out of his unfavorable social event. In the second foreign film "Precious", the social worker behaves rather restrained, his attitude is neutral. The effort to help the client in this case is not so pronounced and consistent. | eng |
