| dc.description.abstract | Zkoumala jsem dvě hlavní hypotézy rozpoznávání objektů: Particulate feature theory a recognition by components pomocí metod behaviorální ekologie, přesněji skrze obranu hnízda. Testovali jsme reakce ťuhýka obecného (Lanius collurio) na atrapy poštolky obecné (Falco tinnunculus), která měla změněnou polohu tělních částí (s hlavou nahoře, hlavou uprostřed a hlavou dole). Naše výsledky ukazují, že ptáci nebyli schopni rozpoznat poštolku v atrapách s nesprávně umístěnou hlavou. Tudíž naše výsledky podporují spíše teorii recognition by components. | cze |

| dc.description.abstract-translated | I examined two main hypotheses proposed for the object recognition: Particulate feature theory and recognition by components using methods of behavioural ecology, namely nest defence. We tested reactions of Red-backed shrike (Lanius collurio) to dummies of Common kestrel (Falco tinnunculus) with scrambled body parts (head above, in the middle and at the bottom). Our result suggested that birds don't recognize the kestrel in the dummies with inappropriately placed head. Therefore, our results support rather the theory recognition by components. | eng |
