dc.description.abstract-translated | Eyelid glands (= tarsal glands or Meibomian glands) are sebaceous glands situated in the eyelid of mammals. These glands are conductive to right visual abilities the eyes. Morphology of eyelid glands, their location and the number could vary in respect to the taxon sex, breeding season, age and occupied habitat. The present study deals with all these factors I detected some taxonomic specific features of these glands across mammals, no influence of age, season and breeding season for two rodent species and one shrew species and I tried to detected an association of glands parameter with occupied habitat for three groups, arvicolines, bathyergids and scquirrels. | eng |
